JOU-393 Desktop Publishing
An introduction to the preparation of documentation commonly classified as desktop publishing, the student will be able to demonstrate skills used in desktop publishing including writing, editing and the use of graphic elements to form short publications produced with personal computers and desktop publishing software. The student will also be able to demonstrate the differences between desktop publishing and conventional printing as well as the current desktop publishing techniques and procedures used for producing newsletters, brochures and advertisements.
