SOS-320 The Management of Stress and Tension

This course describes a multifaceted approach to the management of stress and tension. The problem and nature of stress is presented as a multidimensional phenomenon. The psychosocial, occupational, bioecological and personality/behavioral causes of stress are examined. Students identify, discuss, and critique stress reduction resources and techniques. Through self-assessment exercises students analyze stress factors in their own life, and using the self-assessment methods studied, develop a personal stress management plan.
