This course is designed to facilitate the development of nurse managers and administrators/executives. Using theoretical constructs, focus is placed on selected processes that contribute to quality nursing outcomes through systems thinking, communication and relationship building, professionalism, and knowledge of the health care environment.

Required Materials
Course title is a three-credit online course, consisting of four modules. Modules include an overview, topics, learning objectives, study materials, and assignments. Module titles are listed below.
For your formal work in the course, you are required to participate in online discussion forums, complete written assignments and complete a final project. See below for more details.

Online Discussion Forums
You are required to participate in eleven graded discussion forums. Discussion forums are on a variety of topics associated with the course modules. There is also an ungraded but required introduction forum in module 1 and an ungraded but required reflection forum in week 12.
Located within the Evaluation Rubrics section of the course website is the online discussion forum rubric used to aid in the grading of all online discussion assignments.

Written Assignments
You are required to complete two written assignments.
- The first written assignment, WA #1, is a paper called The Self Assessment Process Paper, and is worth 40% of your final grade. It is to be submitted in two parts, but will be graded as one paper.
- The second written assignment, WA #2, is a paper called The Leadership Process Paper Purpose and Overview, and is worth 30% of your final grade.

Your grade in the course will be determined as follows:
All assignments will receive a numerical grade of 0–100. You will receive a score of 0 for any work not submitted. Your final grade in the course will be a letter grade. Letter grade equivalents for numerical grades are as follows:
