HIS-114 American History II

American History II is a continuation of American History I. It begins with the period of Reconstruction in the South immediately after the Civil War and continues into the twenty-first century. The course covers the social, economic, and political development of the nation. The issues center on the transformation of the United States from an agrarian nation and a lesser member of the international community to a leading industrial power of the modern world.
